We are currently seeking a Special Education Instructional Assistant to join our dedicated team at Wendell Phillips School 63.   • Competitive pay: $35,500–$46,000 based on experience

What You’ll Do

  • Support students with IEPs through small-group and individual instruction

  • Collaborate with teachers to meet academic and behavioral goals

  • Help manage classroom organization and maintain a supportive environment

  • Monitor student progress and share feedback with instructional staff

  • Foster belonging and engagement among all learners


What We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • A growth mindset and willingness to learn and adapt

  • A heart for working in turnaround or urban education settings

  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced, evolving school environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-need or urban school

  • Familiarity with analyzing student data

  • A track record of successfully supporting students
