Technology Intern

General Role Summary:

The Technology Intern is a part time role responsible for supporting the Technology Manager in all aspects of technology at their designated school. This includes working in conjunction with the school staff and the Matchbook CMO team to maintain and implement technology services and processes to help the school to reach academic and operational goals. The technology manager is the point person for all tech needs for the school and includes all systems, hardware and network processes. The technology intern reports directly to the technology manager. The role is perfect for a college student or someone trying to start off their career in a technology driven organization. This position in paid, and is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the tech industry in an innovative work environment.

Support:

  • Manage the resolution and communication of all support tickets created by staff or students.
  • Maintain and work to improve all SLA (Service Level Agreements) that are outlined by the technology department.
  • Work to improve and create support processes to improve turnaround time and to lower repeat issues.

Systems Management:

  • Manage all user accounting and user creation processes for students and staff
  • Be knowledgeable of all operations systems to be able to support users with 
  • performance issues and how to needs.
  • Have a Tier 1 level understanding of all academic system
  • Manage the support communication with all systems vendors to work through technical issues and user request.

Software Engineering

  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6)
  • Node.js, Python or PHP
  • PostgreSQL / MySQL
  • Git / SVN
  • Quality Assurance / Testing (Selenium)
